DUBAILAND™ was launched under the umbrella of Tatweer, a member of Dubai Holding. Envisioned by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed, it is the world’s most ambitious tourism, leisure and entertainment project, catering to the needs of the entire family.

The unique 3 billion sq. ft. development was designed to catapult Dubai onto the global map, reinforcing its ambition of emerging as an international hub of family tourism appealing to tourist segments across genders, age group, world regions and activity preferences. DUBAILAND™ is projected to attract millions of tourists annually from around the world once fully operational.

A number of DUBAILAND™ projects are currently up and running including Al Sahra Resort, Dubai Sports City and the Dubai Autodrome, with a host of other projects currently in their final stages to be underway very soon.

The diverse projects under DUBAILAND™ include theme parks, eco-tourism projects, shopping malls, restaurants and residential units. Projects are being developed by a variety of dynamic investors from the UAE, GCC and overseas.

Being appointed to the position of CEO for DUBAILAND™ brings with it both opportunities and challenges in steering our company towards its goals and realizing His Highnesses’ extraordinary vision. One of my many mandates includes meeting with existing investors on a regular basis to develop relationships with potential partners and strengthen existing ones.

During March 2007, we launched our headquarters which is now open to the public from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Sunday to Thursday. Uniquely designed as a mini-DUBAILAND™ featuring a 3,200 sq ft scale model of the entire development, the exhibition area of the headquarters will feature a host of interactive features, both audio and visual. The 180,000 sq ft DUBAILAND™ headquarters provides a preview of the architectural and landscape marvels, with scale models that reflect the innovation and creativity of DUBAILAND™. Visitors to our headquarters can also marvel at two beautiful Bengal tigers which roam in our enclosed grounds.

DUBAILAND™ will inevitably be an attractive place to ‘live, work and play’ for the Emirate’s growing population. An attractive environment is essential for a leisure and tourism destination and an appropriate setting for business and entertainment development.
