The 2008 Dubai Motorsport Festival took place at Dubai Autodrome on 14 & 15 November 2008. This year the Festival took on a distinctly local flavour and was a celebration of UAE motorsport. Two days of action packed racing complimented by a feast of off-track entertainment on the cards for race fans, providing a superb opportunity for corporate entertainment of the highest level. The slogan throughout the season and particularly during the Festival will be “Support National Motorsport”.

Off-track activities provided many of the highlights of the Dubai Motorsport Festival with the popular Extreme Motion show customization display, motorcycle and car club displays and parades, fun events for children and families alike, a food court area, kids zone, car demonstrations and the headliner was the performance of stunt rider extraordinaire Craig Jones - a true festival atmosphere prevailed throughout the two day extravaganza of speed.

Extreme Motion

The Extreme Motion showcase is the only custom car event in the region designed with a distinctly local flavor. Featuring some of the most creative cars and bikes crafted here in Dubai, the showcase expands from car culture into music culture with up and coming musicians and performers, all being presented during the regions most exciting race festival. Extreme motion is a celebration of UAE creativity and automotive enthusiasm!

During the event there was the “Most Extreme Car Competition” giving away ridiculous prizes to the best cars featured, Live Performances by local musicians and dancers, and several fun side attractions such as a miniaturized Dubai Autodrome Radio Control car track to race against friends.

Car and motorcycle clubs have embraced the event as a platform to parade and display the vehicles belonging to their members. The clubs performed a slow speed parade lap around the circuit. Out in force on the weekend included: Corvette Club UAE, BMW Club, SEAT Club, Mustang Club, The HOGs – Harley riders, Evolve, PEACE to name some.
