DUBAILAND™ CEO Honours Three Key Investors
 
Dubai: 25 April 2007 - DUBAILAND™, a member of Tatweer, today honoured three successful investors, who have committed to their projects within the region’s largest tourism and entertainment project. The initiative is aimed at highlighting DUBAILAND™’s goal of setting up a business environment for excellence as the mega project continues to take shape.

Mohammed Al Habbai, CEO of DUBAILAND™ presented the awards to the three investors - Anita Mahra, Executive Director of Dubai Heritage Vision, Simon E. Azzam, CEO Union Properties – Motor City CEO and Arthur Fitzwilliam, President of Plantation Holdings – Polo & Equestrian Club.
Mohammed Al Habbai said DUBAILAND™ rigorously evaluated the fundamentals of all the investors and selected the three projects in recognition of the strong and unwavering support they have given DUBAILAND™.

“We initiated these awards to honour the commitment of our investors which has helped in accelerating progress at the world’s most exciting leisure and entertainment project.

“Al Sahra Desert Resort, Motor City and Polo & Equestrian Club are key projects and destinations within DUBAILAND™. All three have participated and showcased their projects at different events, much to the admiration of the public. I am privileged to award them with certificates, recognising their contribution to DUBAILAND™.

“These awards symbolise our continuing commitment in supporting our investors who are developing innovative concepts for theme parks and entertainment-driven projects.” Al Habbai added.


DUBAILAND™, situated alongside the Emirates Road, will cover an area of three billion square feet. It will include the 'The Restless Planet’, a dinosaur theme park being developed in cooperation with the Natural History Museum in the UK; a Sports City, featuring large state-of-the-art stadiums; the Great Dubai Wheel; Aqua Dunya; Falcon City of Wonders; Polo & Equestrian Club, Al Sahra Desert Resort; Motor City, the Islamic Culture and Science World; the Mall of Arabia, set to become one of the largest shopping centres in the world, and several other attractions catering to the entire family.
