Construction work on stage one of Al Barari’s
flagship project, which stretches on 14 million sq
foot secluded paradise and offers an exclusive, lavish
and innovative experience, has started. This was
confirmed by Nadia Zaal, CEO of Al Barari LLC, developers
of the AED6.6 billion exclusive and luxurious community
in Nad Al Sheba.
Last week, Al Naboodah Contracting has started excavation
of the first basement of the villas in a prelude
to laying the superstructure which is expected to
begin by end of June 2007. Soon after, the mechanical
/ electrical / planning (MEP) work and finishes will
begin, followed by the garden landscaping for the
villas and swimming pool works with villa handovers
by the end of April 2008 for stage one.
“Overall, the Project is progressing according
to our construction schedule. While construction
is ongoing for the first stage, excavation for stage
two has already begun in February this year, and
will be completed by end of July 2007. We are confident
that our partnership with Al Naboodah will enable
us to continue with our timely construction progress,
given their multi-disciplined capabilities and consistent
record in the successful and timely completion of
projects” continued Zaal.
 In addition, master planning and conceptual designs
for the different components of phase 2 have already
been finalized and submitted to the relevant authorities
for approvals. “Al Barari Project created a
buzz for generating sales in excess of AED2 billion
within eight months of announcing the project – this
is a resounding vote of confidence for the project.
Our overriding objective is to not only deliver on
what we have committed to our stakeholders but also
ensure a high level of transparency in our communications” ended
Zaal.
