DUBAILAND™,
a member of Tatweer, announced it showcase at the Tourism
Development Projects and Investment Market (TDIM) 2008 exhibition
in Dubai, its extensive DUBAILAND™ Destination portfolio,
including unique world scale developments such as Universal
City Dubailand, Bawadi, and Global Village.
Tatweer also used TDIM, the world class event focusing
on the Middle East and North Africa region, to unveil the
recently announced world’s first DreamWorks Animation
branded theme park in Dubai, a groundbreaking tie up with
one of the world’s leading brands in the leisure and
entertainment industry.
DUBAILAND™, the region’s largest and the most ambitious
three billion sq ft leisure and entertainment destination
was one of the key sponsors of the show that held from 20–22
January at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition
Center. The 1,081 sq ft Dubailand™ stand will be located
at Zabeel Hall– Z119.

TDIM provided a unique networking opportunity by bringing
together leading tourism developers, investors and pillars
of the industry such as asset providers,government officials,
master property developers, operators, global destination
brands, architects and industry specialists.
Concurrently, seminars and a number of presentations by
specialists provided exhibitors and visitors an opportunity
to gain further insights into current projects and latest
design concepts in the industry.
Business partners of DUBAILAND™, including City of Arabia,
Dubai Lifestyle City, Dubai Sports City, Sahara Kingdom,
Al Sahra Desert Resort, Plantation, Beacon Education, Dubai
Outlet Mall, Dubai Wheel, and Falcon City of Wonders, were
also exhibit their developments at the DUBAILAND™ stand
as one destination.
Adding to the entertainment component of the Dubailand™
stand at TDIM 2008 there were performances by ballet dancers
from the world class opera, Jumana – Secret of the
Desert. The stand was also feature dancers of the world,
stilt walkers, and street performers.
